Wage Negotiations 2010/11 (20/4) Print E-mail

Attached for your careful consideration and mandate.

Please find a copy of Managements final offer (see Annexure “A”).  Labour made various counter proposals however Management was adamant that this is their final offer.

Please note under paragraph 3 (medical subsidy) that this changes the current allowance in totality.

Attached you will also find calculations that will give you an indication of what the increases are in totality.  Remember that this is purely an example as such (see Annexure “D”)

Labour after a caucus decided we have no alternative to request the certificate of non-resolution.  (see Annexure “B”)

Members need to mandate their Trade Union representatives (see Mandate Annexure “C”).

a)    Accept the offer

b)    Agree to strike action

c)    Please provide your minimum mandate.

Attached please find the mandating form.  Members are reminded that they are to Mandate their Trade Union representatives.  The branch Chairman and Secretary are requested to arrange a Branch meeting to obtain a Mandate from their Trade Union Representatives.

The Branch Chairman and Secretary are to complete the required mandate form and forward such to this office by Close of business on 30 April 2010.

The majority vote will be the determining factor on which action to follow.

Should you require any further clarification please do not hesitate to contact this office.

We assure that we have done everything possible under very difficult circumstances.  We look forward to your urgent co-operation.

(For all Annexures and Mandate Form - please contact Utatu Head Office)
