Our letter dated 20th March 2008, ref. UT/CL/Wage/Neg/011/8/sh/as has reference. The two days have been very frustrating and very little progress has been made. After several requests Management eventually placed an offer on the table. Labour clearly stated that the offer is not acceptable and countered the offer. The implementation date has been agreed upon and that will be 1 April 2008. Management will now go and calculate Labours counter proposal and it has been agreed that the parties will resume on 23, 24 and 25 April 2008. Management’s offer consisted of the following: |

ALL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEMBERS AND TUR’S:SARCC METRORAIL WAGE NEGOTIATIONS: 2008/2009 Organized Labour and Management were again locked in marathon Wage Negotiations on 25 March 2008. At the 11th hour Management came to realize that Labour would not budge in accepting an increase before the Parity is implemented. Labour then again clearly informed Management of their demand. |

WAGE NEGOTIATIONS 2008 The first meeting for Wage Negotiations for 2008 was held on 19 March . It has been agreed that Wage Negotiations will be dealt with centrally in the Transnet Bargaining Council Main Chamber. A representative from every operating division representing Labour will attend all negotiations. Management requested Labour to place there demands on the table. |

TO: All Executive Council members and TUR`s SARCC/Metrorail METRORAIL /SARCC WAGE NEGOTIATIONS : 2008/2009 During negotiations regarding the above from 10 to 12 March 2009 Management tabled the following final offer : 1. Eight percent (8%) across the board pensionable increase to junior officials. 2. HOA minimum and maximums be increased accordingly. 3. Medical subsidy increased accordingly at the minimum and maximum. |
